JOB TITLE: Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: Project Management Office

LOCATION: Wokingham, Berkshire

WORKING HOURS : 37.5 hrs / week

REPORTS TO: Manager, Project Management Office

WORKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH: Development, Product Management, Test & Validation, Finance, Technical Support

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:

To manage the successful delivery of customer projects on behalf of PRISYM ID within our global customer base.

 MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage and/or run day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects
  2. Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  3. Work with key stakeholders to scope and manage fulfilment of Project Resourcing through defined project management methodologies
  4. Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  5. Provide effective Risk Management on all allocated projects while working to resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  6. Ensure project notes and minutes are accurate, well organized and stored appropriately
  7. Inspire team members to attain goals and pursue excellence
  8. Take lead role in ensuring Change Management practices are adhered to within projects.
  9. Set and manage client expectations
  10. Establish and deliver effective communication plans for each project
  11. Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  12. Build a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives
  13. Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
  14. Ensure projects follow predefined quality management procedures
  15. Manage and report on each project at a commercial and quality level
  16. Produce and present project based summaries at project steering group level both internally and externally.
  17. Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  18. Ensure projects are on budget, within delivery timescales and quality goals at all times.

 

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  1. Ability to identify and negotiate business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project(s)
  2. Experience of managing end user software implementation projects ideally in Manufacturing vertical especially Life Sciences
  3. Must have strong communication, commercial and team leadership skills
  4. Have the strength of character to gain the confidence of clients and to effectively represent the best interests of PRISYM ID
  5. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and associated processes
  6. Must be able to operate both on a commercial and technical level and apply a balanced view on projects/contracts
  7. Possess general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
  8. Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements
  9. Experience of Microsoft Project and or similar Project Planning tools
  10. Any experience in delivering projects in a regulated environment (validated) - strongly preferred.

  1. Proactive, driven and able to take the initiative in solving customer problems
  2. High degree of confidence
  3. Great communicator – written and verbal
  4. Flexible as overseas travel both in Europe and occasionally the USA is required (~25%) together with conference calls with the US during the early evening.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR ROLE

  1. Ideally a degree or industry recognised certification in Program/ Project Management (PMI / Prince etc.)
